Opposition Leader Survives accident

Gulu Woman Member of Parliament and Leader of Opposition, Betty Aol Ochan has on Monday morning survived an accident on her way from Gulu to Kampala.

The accident happened at about 7am near Bobi trading centre in Omoro district northern Uganda.

The cause of the accident is not yet known and police has not yet issued a statement.

Aol was appointed Leader of Opposition in 2018 replacing Kasese Woman MP Winnie Kizza.

She taught at Awere S.S 1985-1990 and Layibi College in Gulu between 1981-1985.

She joined Parliament in 2006 on the FDC party ticket as MP for Gulu District.

According to relaible sources all occupants of the vehicle are safe.
